Coilovers vs. Springs...Which is better?

What is the beneifit of having springs over coilovers...or vice versa. I have Eibach springs right now but was wondering if the ride on coilovers is any different.

Thanks - Chad

Well, coilovers are springs!

Coilovers allow you to adjust the ride height by re-positioning the bottom pearch that the spring sits on.

Ground Control coilovers (with the default spring rates) are a good bit stiffer than Eibach's.

I used wonder if there was a difference in durability amongst the two. Thus far, I've heard many stories of people with coilovers that go bad within a year, mostly honda owners, but I doubt that makes much of a difference.

So the coilover are springs and ONLY springs right?
I got the KYB AGX shocks and I like the idea of height adjustability, so I'm hoping they're just springs.

Depends...Cattman and others are spring/strut combos. Ground controls are just springs. The basic concept is the same though.

Gimme a year and I'll tell you . I'm planning on going GC Coilovers with Koni's or Tokico's this summer.
