Odd Electrical Problem...

This just started within the past few days.

Whenever I cancel (turn off) my turn signals, (and occasionally just at random) there's a clicking sound like the signal flasher doing a double-time rhythm.

The signal lights don't flash as this happens.

Turning on a signal or the "hazards" will stop the clicking - sometimes for 5 minutes or so, sometimes for only a few seconds.

Is this just the signal flasher's way of letting me know that it's ready to be replaced, or is it an indication of a more serious electrical problem?

Check out www.motorvate.ca and look under smoke in the cabin. The directional stalk switch shorts out and causes some weird things to happen with your blinkers. Then the smoke comes.......
