Wheel Size OFFSETS?!?!
#2
I believe the stock rims are +45 and you can go as low as +30. At that point they start to stick out past the wheel wells. But it is also a factor of how wide the wheel is also. Stay around +37 to +45 you should be okay.
Hope it helps.

bolt pattern and offset
The bolt pattern on 1989 to present Maxima's is 5x114.3mm or 5x4.5". It's the distance between the center of every other bolt hole.
The offset is the distance to the inside (-) or outside (+) of the rim from the halfway mark of the crossview section. The offset will determine if the rim will stick out too far and rub on the wheel well lip or be too far in where it will rub on the strut/springs. The lower the positive number the further it will stick out and the higher the positive number the rim will sit in more. Does this help or did I just make it more confusing?
I would say to do a search but unless you are a donating member you won't be able to use that function.
Check out the FAQ section of each of the areas and there may be another better explaination.
Good luck.
Can anyone else give a better explaination?

40mm + will make the wheels go into the car to much.
33mm - will make the wheel stick out of the car and will rub at the rear.
