Need some work done.

As it is almost nice outside and my max is handling funny. I am going to upgrade and replace a few things.

1) Tires - NanKang NS1 or NS2's. NS1 = $80 each NS2=?? 225/45 17" Is the size.

Has anyone ever used NanKangs?? I was going to go with the Dunlop 901's for $107 each, but my friend recommended these.

2) Struts - I have a 1995 Maxima with a 5spd. I THINK we have 4 struts. My Mechanic is recommending the KYB at $299 for a set of two so it would be $299x 2 = $598. any other recommendatios for struts, and is the pricing ok? I live in NJ.

3) I have 96,000 on the odometer, and I am getting a basic tuneup/oil change. Is there anthing else I should get done mechanically??

4)Clutch - I need a new clutch? High performance/heavy duty?? How much do they cost. How much to install??
thanks in Advance for all the help.

Struts are in the front and shocks in the rear. Which KYB is he quoting you, the AGX's or the GR2's? Either way, that price is high. Does that include installation and an alignment? I do suspension installs here in NJ for 100. You can buy the struts and shocks for your car for about 300 bucks depending on which you go with. I'd be glad to install them for you. Email or PM me if you would like to discuss it further.

I'll assume your not changing your springs to lower the car.

KYB AGX are adjustable performance units.
KYB GR2 are non adjustable replacements that will perform better then your OEM units.

Tokico makes an adjustable performance strut called the Lllumina.
Tokico also makes a non adjustable unit, the Blue performance series.

If you don't need adjustability, get either the KYB GR2 or the Tokico Blue. The KYB's tend to be slightly firmer. Tokico's ride nice.
