300 zx caliper question

Can someone please tell me what modifications have to be made to your rotors to make these calipers fit? The ones i am looking at are the 92-96 ALUMINUM front + rear set. I currently have Brembo xdrilled/slotted front and rear rotors and SS brake lines.

Please someone give me the rundown on these, i would really appreciate it!

also, do you have to get 300zx ss lines if you get the 300zx calipers? or can you use maxima ss lines and have it work properly? please guys let me know i really need help!!

dont make me end up like this guy --->

You need 300ZX rotors. You need 300ZX brake lines. Some have used the maxima ones but its not totally safe. ZX rotors are thicker 26 or 30 milimeters.....depending on which year calipers you get. The Maxima caliper has a banjo bolt fitting to attach the line. The 300ZX has a flared fitting. The banjo style fitting will not flow enough fluid to properly acctate the pistons, plus it wont fit anyway.

ZX rotors from Irotors.com are 140.....used ZX brake lines....10$ (got mine of ebay)

Other than shaving the A-arm area (it will rub the rotors since they are thicker) theres no other modifications needed other than wheels with enough clearance to fit the wider caliper.

so basically, if i wanted to do the 300zx caliper upgrade, i would have to trash my "maxima" brembo xdrilled/slotted rotors and get 300zx rotors right?

Yes, you do. Forgot about that.

Supposedly you can use maxima rotors......but I didnt bother to try since it seems unsafe to me.

Can you use Maxima mounting bolts to mount the calipers, or do you have to get the 300zx mounting bolts?

Use the same mounting bolts. The ones that hold the torque brace on.
19mm I think

Yeah, the 300ZX mounting bolts are a little too long. When installed, they will rub against the rotor/hub. So, I too used the Maxima bolts to hold them on.
