OMG! me f***ing blew out 5 15A fuse + 6 20A fuse 2nite!!!

today my t.tail light fuse blew out in both fuse box under the hood and under the dash. i went to nearby autoshop grabbed some 15A and 20A and it kept blowing... i suspect nissan circuit can't handle hyperwhite bulbs =X but daymn it hella ****es me off cuz i was runnin late to san jose airport pickin up my friend... so i drove without corner + tailights...

after i got home... i put on 2 30As in both fuse box. corner and tails finally came back up =X my question is: the fuse box says i can only run 15A (under the hood) and 7.5A (under the dash)... and now i'm runnin 30A + 30A... tat's 60A total... about 5 times more than before... is tat gonna kill?

uhm, usually after you burn out 2-3 fuses you should realize there is prolly a short in your system. ALOT of people run hyper white and extra wattage bulbs but dont blow fuses. there is most likely a short in your electrical system somewhere.

I remember I tried to rewire my front signals to stay on. Kept blowing fuses...one which included the tail lights. So, I just replaced them and restored factory wiring, I didn't want to deal with it anymore.

Deal with that short ASAP.

If you're using fuses 4 or 5 times the stock current rating to keep fuses from blowing, you're asking for an electrical fire in the very near future - which can be hideously expensive to repair, if not deadly.

You have a short...I would fix it before all the extra current you're letting through there causes a fire.

Two 30 amp fuses on the same line will not allow 60 amps of current to flow. If you think about it you'll understand why.

Bet one of the bulbs you put in was the wrong one. Thats happend before on here and drove the guy nuts until he figured it out. Make sure all your tail light bulbs are the correct 1157 or what ever they are supposed to be. If you put the wrong one in the socket, it will short out the two tabs and draw a lot of current, but the bulb might actually light up and appear to be working.

As others have said, you blow one fuse, your replace it and try again. After the second one blows immediatly, you trouble shoot. You could melt wires and start an electrical fire, especially with 30 Amps of current.
