My Windshield cracked.....

I was driving down 25A AKA Jerico TPK... a small rock hit my windshield and put one of those spider crack plus a line that is getting bigger and bigger.

I want to know how much would this cost me? Do i have to replace the whole glass.

any Suggestion.

Re: My Windshield cracked.....

Most insurance companies will replace it for you free of charge. This will not make your rates go up and most times there is no deductable. That is what i have seen in the past anyway

Wow...how big was that rock? I was driving down the freeway and a tractor trailer driving in front of me kicked up a rock at me. I was going about 60 and it hit the windshield very hard, but only scratched the glass. and the rock that hit me was about the 3x1x1 inches!!!

it was small one. i couldnt see it. when it hit the winsheild then i notice it present. damm i hate this.....

i bet the rock hit in middle of the winsheild. the glass is stronger in the center. if it hit the corner, it will be higher chance of what happend to me.

I recently had my 90 SE windshield replaced (haven't had to do my 95 yet)and it was about $330 if I paid for it. I told them my insurance (you have to have full glass coverage - check your policy) will cover it and the price went to about $700!!

I didn't even notice the price difference until I got home. Talk about insurance rip-off!

I was thinking about calling my insurance company about it.
