COSTCO plans on $60 off tires again

Costco plans on having $60 off on a set of tires this June. Flyers go out June 1 with sale starting in the middle of the month. I can get a Bridgestone RE 950 for $85 each out the door. Includes taxes, stems, balance, mounting, free lifetime rotation and 5 year road hazard warranty. Might save you a few $$$$!

wow thats great thanks. I'll keep an eye out for that. Do you also recommend the Michelin Energy series. I checked with costco and they were like $135 total.

The Michelin's don't come with a milage warranty while the Bridgestones have a 45k warranty. I have a difficult time spending $40 more per tire, with the same speed rating and no milage warranty. Costco has a simple formula for milage warranty, 1/2 the warranty = 50% off new tire, no nonsense. I'll probably get the Bridgestones! I'm going from V Rated Dunlop SP 5000s, great tire but as an ultra high performance tire the milage was only 15K. Tires were rotated every 3k by me and tire pressure was kept at 32 psi and bo alignment problems. Just want a tire with better milage (guarnteed) as well as good handling.

We're only in March....how did you hear about this special? Do you work at Costco or do you get some sort of mailing? Are there a list of tires/cost that we can choose from besides the two mentioned above?

It will be the same as the last sale. Applies to tires they sell or can order. I was talking to manager at COSTCO, he told me it was already budgeted for June. Time will tell for sure, it just so happens I'll be needing tires then. Every once in a while the timing of a sale works in your favor.

I just talked to a tire center guy at my local Costco and he told me the same time frame for the $60 rebate. Can't wait to get the Bridgestone 950's. From the reviews at TireRack they are very good compared to the stock Goodyear RS-A I got. Super hot deal!!!

Matt, I'm looking at $85 per tire including tax. Tires come with new valve stems, lifetime free balance, lifetime free rotation and 5 year road hazard warranty. This is all included in the $85. However they will reduce the price by $9 per tire if you self install. I did the math on balancing, rotation and road hazard - they offer a hard deal to beat. They've got my business!

Tirerack has these for $86. Shipping, to CA, for example, costs $40 for 4. Now paying someone to install it is probably another $15 per tire. Adding it all up, it will cost around the same for Costco but without the convenience of going to any Costco in the US to fix a flat, etc....

I've thought about going the Tirerack route but just the fact that 4 wheel rotation and balance usually costs $30 easy everytime....

Costco's price with the $60 is a bargain. I just hope my tires last until summer.

Don't know but they can special order tires but I am not sure of all the brands. Probably a good idea to stop in and talk to them.

Well, seeing how I'm going to be getting the 2K2 SE rims this summer, i'm going to need 17" tires. Please, oh please tell me they're going to be $85 too!
