Im looking at a 98 GLE black/leather/auto/roof/cd/no spoiler/70k miles. i can get it for 8,000. is that a decent deal? is that a good model? I like the SE, but which one is worth more? anything to look for?

thanks for the help

Very fair price. They are great cars and the later year 4th gens 97-99 are exceptionally reliable. Buy it.

top end model, sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Does it have the ghey pin stripes on the side? if so those need to go. I would also make the dealership (if thats what it is) do all fluid changes, brakes, check the rotors, inspect brake lines, clean the the fuel system erm, you know the normal maint stuff, just incase it didn't get its 60K tune up

I would get the GLE if you dont want a 5 speed.. that sounds like a fair price as long as theres nothing majorly wrong with it.

The GLE is the top of the line model. It comes standard with leather interior, auto climate control, BOSE system, etc. I think moonroof is standard too. They're all automatics-can't get a 5 speed GLE. If you want a loaded/luxurious Maxima, that's your model. Sounds like a VERY fair price if it's in good condition! Good luck man.

I have a 99 gle and I can tell you the sunroof is not standard... unfortunately. Great car though. Sounds like a great price if the car is in good shape.
