I smell gas after driving the car

Car has:

~ 67k miles
~ only fed with the highest octane avail. (91...)
~ had full service maintenance @ 60k miles

Lately I've really been noticing the smell of unburnt gas after the car has all been warmed up and I park the car and turn off the engine. I realized that the smell is coming from the fuel line section, near the driver side strut area. Other than that, I can't really pinpoint the source.

What could my problem be? I haven't noticed any drastic decrease in fuel economy, but I haven't noticed good fuel economy really either. Could there be a leak of some kind?

It seems that I could find this information serach but it's not available right now. I hope it's just a common and quick fix problem. Anyway, thanks.

Fuel filter or line leak. Follow the fuel line down to the fuel filter (on the firewall near the driver's side strut). Feel around underneath the filter too. After changing my last filter, I started getting the odor as you did. I tightened the upper and lower fuel line clamps to no avail. I finally changed out the filter, which solved the problem. Oddly, in my case, it was the actual filter that was leaking rather than the line.
