Budget Y-Pipe Install Successful !

I'm happy to report that after 4 hours under the car, my new Budget Y-pipe is finally in!! I ended up cutting off the nuts on the cat with a die grinder and air chisel...then cut them flush and drilled out the rusted metal. It was a total pain in the ***, but finally it is over. I went out for a short test drive and it seems to have a bit more power. I had a big fella in the car with me for the test, so I'll know better when I go out alone. Between the intake and exhaust, I think I'm done with engine mods for awhile. I'll probably to the budget B-Pipe eventually, but since it doesn't give up much more power, I'm in no rush.

good for you, i have a budget y and like it.

you wont notice good gains for a while. it does feel faster when u just mash the pedal, but its when you are driving around for a few weeks and you test it in different times and situations, thats when you realize what it did

How do you order it?

I just went to the Budget site and i couldn't find anywhere to place an order. Is the Y-pipe listed as an F-pipe?

I put mine on about a month ago and the check engine light came on this week. In my attempt to put the left O2 sensor back on, I believe I must have forced it in, it was not flush and left a 1/8th gap by the washer. Today I tried to take it off and it will not budge. Any suggestions would be appreciated, otherwise, I have nothing but great things to say about its performance. Thanks.

After heading out alone in the car and really getting on it, there is a definate improvement over the stock Y. Its impossible for me to tell what kind of HP gains I got out of it, but I *accidently* burned both front tires through first, and partially through second...previsouly unheard of. It is also very quick on the interstate, I could hit 80 at the bottom of the onramp near my house, but now I hit 80 just after 1/2 way down the ramp. Nice!
