6 Speed Conversion

Is this possbible? like a 2k2 tranny or something?

the way the gearing is setup on the 4th gen i dont really see why you would want to go through the trouble unless you swap in the 3.5 engine and drivetrain. (Why hasnt someone maned up yet and done this, btw?)

Hey Nick....Spencyg from the Mainestreet forums here...
I agree with the gearing...the 5 speed seems to have just the right ratios. 1st can cook the tires, second can cook the tires, 3rd will get you up to highway speed quickly, and 4th will kick you into the hundreds. 5th is there for 120+, and that nice little thing called "fuel economy"...

im not too impressed with the fuel economy in high speeds.
5th gear isn't very long, and produces high rpms on the highway.
i find myself cruising at 3.5k+ on the highway
that range of rpm is more for acceleration than cruising IMO.
