I think I have the case of some bad gas. The car I bought also has been sitting without being driven for a long time as well. This combined with a Chevron station that ripped me off with crappy gas has made the car almost undrivable when the tank is less than 1/4 and cold. The other day the check engine light also went on as well. The car chugs along and lurches forward when the gas gets low. I tried a small bottle of water remover, but that hasn't seem to do much. What other options do I have?

That would be the best place to start cause you may have something related to your problem.
