H&R + KYB AGX = love my car all over again !

Just wanted to share some of my joy !!!! I'm really satisfied with my new suspension, the combo rides very well , it remainds me the ride quality in my friends 03 Jetta , nice , and firm , very German like. No more crashing sound in the cabin after going over those joints in the expressway. Car feels wery solid and with 120K on the odometer i'm very happy. Highly recomend to anyone looking for suspension upgrade.

Sounds good. Hows the drop and handling? Also what setup did you have before?

had Sprints....

Drop is nice , the back sits even lower than with sprints , let's say 2.5 fingers back and front which still gives nice look , actually this is the look the car supposed to look.
Handling wise , Sprints gave me incredible handling , but I couldn't stand the harsh ride on Chicago roads.
H&R handle great , just as good, it was raining today so i didn't want to push it , beause I saw nasty crash in Shamburg.
BTW , I went to Japanese market in MT Prospect and as soonest i got out of my car i hear two cars with Intake/exhaust going at it from the intersection , to my suprise it was two 4th gen Maximas !!!!
white/lowered one vs black with tints , the white one sounded awsome from the distance, not like those d....m hondas.
The white Max had like 2.5 lengths on the black one......

I also installed my H&Rs and KYB AGX this past weekend and I am very satisfied. I also used to have Sprints last summer, and the H&Rs are 100% better. I hope they settle just a little bit more though.

I have my H&Rs and AGXs set at 3 in the front, 6 in the rear. It rides extremely nice. It's not bouncy on the freeway anymore. I previously had it set at front 2 rear 4.

The H&R/KYB AGX combo is a nice set-up. I've been very happy with the ride of mine. Do any of you have any rear sag with the H&R's? Mine is a bit of a problem..with my 5speed and stereo not helping. The pics on my homepage are the set up with a spacer to raise the back end slightly, but I had to take them out yesterday cuz they were hitting the strut and making a poping noise.

Try to join the group deal they had around for 330 shipped... if not... talk to Nick Bauer that sells the AGX on ebay... mention that you are an org member and he will sell it for 340 shipped... and the shipping is real FAST!

I wish people would stop measuring wheelgaps with their fingers because fingers vary in width, ya know. Try measuring with a ruler.

As for MaxSpeeds being equal to H&Rs, I have a hard time believing it. You pay for a higher quality spring with the H&R. MaxSpeeds are just knock offs, IMO. They're not bad, but they're not H&Rs in terms of overall handling, design, and quality. If I've learned one thing by modifiying cars, it's almost ALWAYS better to buy the highest quality product you can. Cheap = cheap in most cases.

I would consider myself lucky if I were you. I am not that far from you and I see them all the time and they are almost identical usually.

19" Chrome Rims or larger
Limo Tinted windows
Clears in the rear
All emblems removed
Usually a GXE with no sunroof or spoiler
more drop in the back than in the front (speakers? fat a$$es?)
Neons in the A-Pillars
Cantaloupe or Watermelon launcher
Cheap booming bass
Gold wheel well trim
Both bumpers looking like they played bumper cars

I saw one with almost this exact description when I pulled into a gas station the other day.

My car is not modded. I just have some stereo stuff in it. Cross-drilled rotors... couple other non-performance changes.

When I pulled up, they were pulling out... when I was getting out of the car he pulls back into his spot and rolls down his window half way. Then he turns up the stereo.

They were still there when I got out. I don’t know whether I was supposed to feel inferior or not? I thought it looked stupid personally. “Ghetto-fabulous” is probably the word I would have used if asked at the time…

I ran into one not too different from that on 41 not long ago… except he wanted to race. Wasn’t quite as bad, but it was poorly taken care of on top of being gaudy-modded. I never would have thought there could have been that much difference in a race with one Maxima to another… especially since mine is stock. I can only assume that it was a result of his obvious neglect of the car…
