i just found a scuff mark on the rear urethane bumper material on my black gxe. it was probably from a suitcase being dragged on it. i'm not really sweating it, but i would like to know if i can sand it out or buff it with polishing compound. im sure all of you know the type of scuff i have. oh well..thanks

You can use

any type of cleaner wax such as the meguiers. I would not sand it because the amount of clear they put on the bumpers is very thin. I usually use a polish to clear the scuffs then follow with a wax.

boy I've got so many scuffs here and there and everywhere, tried polishing, waxing, doesn't really work very well/at all. first week I had my car I gotta scuff like your talking about taking my parents to the airport. i've had paintless dent repair - works pretty good although I spend around 200 bux by the time he was finished, need it again. my wife drives my car every now and then and she's not how should I say, very aware. I'm thinking about having my car painted when the money's available. It's a tough thing keeping a daily driver in good detail. Parking lots are a pain...Is Nissan paint a problem or just me?

but...just thinking of it as part of your ownership..
if you really want to keep your car from getting scratched...just keep it in your garage and never take it out...
hehe..
and yeah, i have my own bumps and bruises...but i've kinda given up on that anyway now...
