Are KYB strut boots really necessary for AGX?

Can't I just use the OEMs that came with the car? What if I don't put the boots on the AGX and just install it?

OEM's are fine. But get new ones.

Without boots will work too but you'll wear the stuts out a lot faster.

You'll want to check to see there aren't signs of cracking. I re-used my original oem boots.

The bump stops are there to protect your strut from making metal to metal contact with the car when the suspension "bottoms out", wich can blow your new struts. The stock dust covers also have the bump stops. I would recommend for you to buy some.

The price range for the boots at local dealers in SoCal is between $16 to $20. The Cattman's price of $60 for 4 seems like a good deal.
