Do you have to replace the strut mounts when you replace the struts?

And if you don't, will it cause the strut to wears rapidly? The reason I'm asking is my mom had the rear struts replaced no her 95 max about 6-7 months ago by one of the garage mechanics. She bought only struts from Murry's and no mounts because the guy working no her car didn't tell her to get them. Now there's a weird creeking sound coming from the left rear wheel. It makes the noise at random times and is really annoying. Could it be the old mount making the noise or is the strut worn out already due to the old mounts? thanks

Ya. But it may not be the cause of your noise. One way to find out.

The rear strut mounts on the 4th generation cars are just rubber spacers/bushings. The ones in my '97 with 110K still looked new. I doubt they're the reason for the noise. Have you made sure the struts are tight? How many miles on them and what brand?

Springs Maybe?

Have you had the springs changed? My max started making noises after I change my Springs. My frined installed some rubber ***** on the ends of them to fix the problem.
