Last Weekend First Time At A Track

I went to a track in Edinburg, Tx. I was blown away it was awesome. I'm planning to use my absences from work whenever there is an event. I consitently ran a 16.4 and 16.3's. I was just racing friends. Then some guy from my college that I've known for awhile wanted to race. I have automatic bone-stock '95 Maxima, while he dirves a 2003 Eclipse with a CAI and Greddy Exhaust. I dunno what happened but he ran a 15.5 while I ran a 15.9! My friends freaked they didn't know what it was that I did. I guess it was just adrenaline. But I am now alot more excited about what my car may be capable of doing. My y-pipe just got put in, I need to put in my RVM pulley and my CAI will be coming in......but what would be the best CAI to buy for under $225? Just thought I'd let y'all know I'm kinda an up and comer....I wanna do good.

Edinburg...wow...that's pretty damn far south. Not bad with a 15.9 either...

...I don't have a CAI yet, but was looking into an Injen CAI. But it's a little more than $225 I think.

place racing makes a good CAI, although some guy dynoed his car with the PR CAI and said that if u will take out the mid pipe and make it a "hybrid" intake, you get better gains

Re: Last Weekend First Time At A Track

Not too bad. My first shot at the track was a few weeks ago. Bone stock 98 SE auto fully loaded (Leather, heated seats) running on some heavy 17" 02 SE wheels, my best out of 2 races (busy track got a late start) was 16.02. Next time I'm swapping my 16"s back on and now I have a y-pipe. Hoping to get into the 15's.
