MEVI Question
We all know that the MEVI adversely affects low to mid-range torque, but why exactly does it do this? Is it cuz the volume of the intake runners is smaller? Is is not flowing as much air when the butterfly is closed? I just need help understanding.
mine feels very similar to stock with the butterflies closed. (just installed it this morning) but the feeling with it open at top end is well worth any low end loss. Besides It the low end loss seems to be a wash in the 1/4. Not to mention is provides more benifit than the USDM when used in conjunction with other mods.

So you barely felt a loss in power? Im not doubting the top-end with the MEVI activated. I was wondering for around town driving and when punching the gas at 3500-4500 rpm's. Thanx for the quick response.
I just talked to SLC98Max.
He just Dynoed before and after MEVI installation.
This is his E-Mail:
"Well I am no longer at the shop. But thanks anyway. I finally got everything put together. I ended up trying several DIP settings that I kind of remembered and luckily I found the right one. Thats why I didn't reply yesterday. I do feel bad about bugging you so much though.
Anyway the results, I gained 40 fwhp at redline and only lost 5 ft-lbs of torque. My switch off point was 5200rpm. Have a good day and thanks again. "
I think that says it all.
I personally also physically felt no loss after installing the MEVI.
