gunmetal/black rims... whos got em?

i'm planning on buying new wheels for my black max. i think a darker shade other than just ghetto shiny chrome would give it a more aggresive look. ive seen some pics, but dark rims are rare where im from. if anyone has pics or suggestions please contact me. thanks - dante

Here are pics of my wife's rims. Obviously not on a max, but it shows them on a dark car in the second pic.

If you cannot see the pics, I am sorry. Something is all wrong. I don't even see the red "X"s that I would normally see. You can check out the CarDomain page if you want to see them.

most rims don't come black...check out tirerack.com you can get most rims powdercoated the color you would like. also gunmetal and black are very different, imo. gun mental is like a dark shiny silver. black is well black =]. i also am looking for some nice black/gunmetal rims...so let me know what you find!

Man...gun-metal rims look BEST, period. If you're looking for an agressive look (like you said yourself) on a sporty-looking Max, then gun-metal is it! I'm getting them myself. I like the 18" Motegi MR7's (7-spoke) in gun-metal...they look really good. I found this one max on cardomain that made me choose gun-metal over any other (be it silver, chrome, etc.). See them here -> http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...=132618&page=4

These look very bad ***! GUN-METAL...way to go!

You're right, the Motegi are heavy...but the MAXXIM defcon-6 gunmetal 17" are only 18 lbs. each though - that's light! I have the link above

There was a guy a while back trying to sell these VR5's. I forget who makes the rim and I can't really make it out from the pics, but I still have these pics that he emailed me (I told him I would host them for him since he couldn't host them himself). I think these are some of the best looking gunmetal rims I have ever seen. I didn't have the money for them or they would be on my car right now.

HUGE lip - looks polished.

Nice rims, although I prefer ones with more spokes. The rule for me when buying rims is:

1. Gun-metal
2. ONLY 6 or 7 spoke (never 5)
3. under 20 lbs. if 17"
4. under 25 lbs. if 18"
