alsdjkasd how does Bose controls work???

omg what a nooby question...

well either i don't know how to use Bose or the ******* thing is ****ed up.

The only two options I use when it comes to Bose is the CD player and the FM/AM radio.

Now, I can turn off and turn on my CD player by pressing the "CD" button. But when I hit the "Power" button, it turns off sometimes, and the other times I just use the "CD" button to turn it off.

When I use my radio, I turn it on with the "FM/AM" button but when I want to turn it off, the ******* "power" button won't work! I hit it but it doesn't shut off. How are you suppose to turn off the radio while driving?? I've been able to do it w/ the power buttons a couple times too.

Is it just my power button is ****ed? I know my LCD screen goes off sometimes while the radio is being used... i just have to lightly tap the screen for everything to show up again. If i'm lucky, the bose HU will die and I can have a good excuse to upgrade the sound system

Just get yourself a new stereo and some decent speakers. You can up grade the rest of the stuff later, but put your money on the radio. Fry's has some decent speakers and cheap too. I want to do the whole upgrade too, but I have to wait until I get $$$

You're supposed to turn the radio off by pushing on the volume ****. It sounds like you're trying to do it correctly, but your power/volume **** is screwed up. Never had any trouble with mine, but these head units are known for problems after a few years of use.

If your screen is giving you problems, then you might want to look into another Bose head unit..... I have the top of the line factory bose system in my car, and If it went out on me, I would replace it with another Bose head unit......... I like the sound quality of the Bose system better than alot of aftermarket stuff....... (Aftermarket stuff can sound awesome too)

hmm

well i don't plan on doing anything to the audio system until it gets really jacked up. If that happens, I will go aftermarket. The lack of bass is bugging me...
