Finally got my red/clear tails, bought them from CustomMaxima

I finally got a set of red/clear tails! I bought mine from CustomMaxima.com, and they look great. Sorry to waste bandwidth posting another "I got my red/clears!" thread... but I'm excited about 'em

maybe it's the camera angle but the outers look a little darker than the inners

Where did you get the inserts for the inner lights, I was thinking of clearing the inner once as well.

The outter tails do not match the inners because the inners are a little whiter. The flourescent light cover that is used to replace the amber piece is not quite as white.
Open the inner tails, remove the stock clear piece. Use it as a template to cut a new piece from flourescent light covering, then put it in.
Having the inner and outter clear pieces the same material makes for a cleaner look.
If you are as **** as I am about my Max, you'll want them to match perfectly. They simply do not match if you only have the outters done.

Those are really nice. I didn't know if I should get the tails cleared out, but looking at yours makes me want to know. BTW what kind of flourescent reflectors did you use?

Go to Home Depot and buy a sheet for flourescent light covering.
It has small little diamonds in it. Make sure you install the piece with the smooth side facing out.
