check engine light after installed CAI

check engine light after installed CAI

i have a 96 max. after i finished the install of CAI and turned on the car. checking engine light is on. i got every hose back to where they should be. does anyone has any suggestion to the engine light???

Its because your engine is getting alot more air now, and your MAF is like WTF. Itll go awy in like a week once the ECU learns this. Its kinda like running, when you first start you are panting and all whatnot, then after conditioning, you can run harder and faster with the same lungs.

you make shrue all the plugs especially the MAF sensor is plugged in before you started the car? just reset the ecu and see what happends or pull the code just to know what tripped it

the MAF sensor is in place, and there is anther little go into the CAI pipe. what that senor does and do i still need it?

its an air temp sensor I believe. I used to have it ziptied somewhere but never got a CEL.
