You have Silver Stars, yes it's normal. They look good on your car but do a poor job lighting up the road in front of you. Put a set of Sylvania Xtravisions in or try the Sylvania Cool Blues for a whiter light. The Xtravisions are the best standard Halogen 9004 bulb out there. They clearly light up the road in front of you with a big wide beam, sometimes overpowering the car next to you.

The Wagner Bri-Lites are just as good also. You can't go wrong with either one. Make sure your lights are adjusted accordingly, this can also make a difference.

Some day we will have the aftermarket projectors for our 4th Gen Maximas.

Re: Question

Someone recommended to me the PIAA X-Treme Whites since I have the 4000k BriLites. They match up real good when you rewire the corners; better then the Polargs and OEM's.

Using whatever 1157 bulbs are in the corner lamp, do this if you want:

Remove the corner lamp housing.
Take the bulb out as if you were going to replace it.
Remove the top nub from the metal base (there are 2). It is the one higher up and closer to the bulb.
Cut a thin strip of electrical tape and wrap it around the metal base where the upper nub used to be.
Put the bulb into the housing you removed it from BACKWARDS. In otherwords, but the bulb in so that the remaining nub (the lower one) goes into the spot where the upper one was.
Turn your lights on and make sure the corner is brighter than the other corner.
Replace the fixture and repeat all except the last step for other side.

Worked for me, although with the Xtravisions everyone thinks I have my high-beams on.

Same here

I have Xtravisions and more often than before I had them, I get people flashing at me to turn off my high-beams...except my lows are on! My lights are properly angled as well. Sorry, if you're one of those oncoming drivers
