Will a CAI Midpip fit like a frankencar?

I have a JWT pop charger and want to add a mid-pipe to the assembly. If I buy a BOMZ cold air intake, but just use the mid-pipe portion of it, will i have any problems? I'm looking to get a frankencar midpipe, but the entire bomz cai is cheaper. whats the differnce between the frankecar midpipe, and the midpipe that you get in the bomz CAI package?

quality?

So you're saying the mid-pipe from the package will technically fit and is the same measurements and fittings as the frankencar mid-pipe, but the BOMZ pipe isn't as high quality?

The only part that is not of as high quality is the MAF adapter. However, I made my own from a piece of 3/16" steel, a small length of 3" exhaust pipe, a welder, drill and grinder.

There's not really much to the midpipe. It's a piece of 3" tubing with three small pipes sticking out of it. The Bomz unit just happens to be powder coated aluminum... which is nice.

See the post about the Bomz CAI review.

Good Luck!
