Question about changing springs

Ok, the other night I was talking to a friend of mine about the suspension setup I'm going to get(sprints and Agx). He asked me who was going to do it for me and I told him i'd like to try it on my own. He proceded to fill my head with stories of springs flying off the spring compresser and injuring and killing people. What are the chances that this could happen?
Kevin.

I haven't hear of it happening to anyone on here, so i didn't think it would be that big of a deal. Would i really have to compress the springs that far anyway?

stock springs will fly off and hurt you. Trust me.

Sprint Springs will not fly off and hurt you

I just did it this weekend. I failed at using the compressor the first spring, and it flew with a bit of force, but away from my body, so it was no big deal. Point is, even if you screw up a little it's not too bad.

that's because they don't live to tell anyone about it....

they're still lying on their garage floors with a spring inserted in their torsos..

Well, with the warmer weather here now, i'm sure the smell will lead people to them.

make sure you use a compressor, i heard they can shoot out hard enough sometimes to go through a wall.
