An 8.5" wheel with a +35mm offset only sticks 2.7mm further into the wheelwell than a 7.5" wheel with a +45 offset. Thats like 1/8th inch. You will be fine.

stock wheel offset?
What is the normal wheel offset (from the factory) on the car? I bought wheels with a 42mm offset and want to make sure that they wont cause any unnecessary inner or outer tire wear. I read in some other thread that if the offset is a lot different than factory, a normal alignment will cause tire wear on the inner/outer edge and right now, my alignment is great, but i have regular 15" gxe wheels on my SE.
