The air bag light started flashing for no apparrent reason a few days ago, ran the diagnostic and get 5 5 for codes, any idea how to check further, what connectors to reseat etc before heading to the dealer?

 

Mines been flashing for 4 months now. To cheap to pay $80 at a dealership to get it fix.

 

have the dealership reset your system. you don't want to start playing with a system you're unfamiliar with. there are also liability issues involved in the future if there is an accident and they don't go off.

 

I think airbag systems are beyond 36000 miles warranty from nissan. or call 1800-nissan-1 ask them. best bet is the dealership they could reset the system for you.

Ouch, happend to me once, there was construction out side my house and I went over a Gigantic Bump and I heard a Lump, and the light started flashing, they had to order new airbags and a sensor, Good thing I bought the Extended Waranty

what/where exactly is the driver door switch?..

 

Its the rubber button that is depressed once you close the drivers side door. If you look down you will see it.
