Max Mod List

Because most of the mod lists I've found for the Max are either really outdated or don't cover much of anything, I've started one. You can find it here:

http://www.geocities.com/maxima_mods/mods.html

It focuses primarily on 4th Gen mods, but some crossover to other Gens. If I can get a decently complete list, I may start making guides on how to do each of the mods using other people's guides (and giving them credit of course).

However, I need help from all of you to complete the list and see if you can find me guides for as much of that as possible.

Thanks,
Tat

That's why I'm asking for help...you're all probably much more knowledgeable than I am, and this is for the benefit of everyone.

I'm going to be more in-depth, as well, it's NOT just a list. Read my post more carefully.

See? Now that's the kind of stuff I need. Also check out I did one guide already on the painted Altezza tails (Skyline) as an example to show you what all would be in one. I took it from VQPower.com and gave proper credits.

It's there because SOME people want to do it...none of those things are a personal opinion of mine.

I had my write up for rear LED changes in the 97-99, but lost my server and I deleted it by mistake, so once I get that re-done and find a server i'll send it to you.

Nice list to start out with man. One thing you can add is a muffler, some are free flowing which might give 1-3 hp.

Why is this dumb? I am thinking of doing this, I am doing it because of overall performance gains of the car. I searched for a 5-speed in my color combo with low miles but couldnt find one that wasnt beaten on, and I got a good deal on my car. So am I dumb for wanting to spend around $2-3,000 on a brand new transmission conversion?

That really help this post out...while I am sure you are filled with all types of criticism, it does not seem like that is what he was looking for

Couple of sites are doing this already:

www.maximadriver.com

www.vqpower.com

this site, first page

Several memebers have info on their home pages:

You may be reinventing the wheel but that is what keeps this community growing

Yes, I suppose I sort of am. But my purpose for this is that they don't all cover everything, and tend not to be in a very user-friendly format (like being categorized and what not).

I have to point out MaximaDriver.com is down right now, and although VQPower IS a good resource, they seem to be too slow to get things going. Also, what are you referring to about Maxima.org having a list? Do you mean the FAQ?

And I feel like an idiot asking this, but what are the subframe connectors?

EDIT: ALSO, if you'll notice on VQPower, a lot of the things there aren't telling you how to do anything. They merely discuss those topics and show you what their's looked like during the process. Good examples are "Turbo Talk" and the Dual Exhaust article.

Check out this thread . Someone already did alot if not all the aftermarket stuff, so maybe you should concentrate on the "how to's". It would be cool to have a good how to section on the org.

Again, my purpose isn't to list all the mods and who makes them, but ALSO how to do all the mods. I'm doing an all-purpose guide here, and in cooperation with other members, such as Smithdogg1, I think we could come up with a REALLY good list and how-to section. I'll admit, this would be an even better project if hosted by the Org, but who knows if that would ever happen...

Alright, NOW check out the list. I think you can get a good idea of what it is I'm trying to accomplish here judging by all the stuff I have up already.

Read about the subframe connectors here;

http://www.warpspeedperformance.com/gen4subframes.htm

You should also add motivational engineering rear shock mounts in the suspension area for the 4th gen;
