Just Give Me a CEL Already !!!

I'm sick and tired of my Max idling like crap. Everytime I come to a stop, the engine slightly misses, dropping about 50rpm everytime.
Iv'e had this problem for almost a year and a half now!
If it would just give me a CEL i'd know whats wrong.

Things Tried:
Changed Plugs - Copper BKR5E-11
Changed Coil Packs
Did Engine Vacuum check
Cleaned TB
Cleaned and tested IACV
Used BG44k fuel additive

This weekend i'm going to check my PCV valve, test the MAF and TPS. If I don't find the problem, I really think I'm gonna lose it.
If anyone has any other suggestions, PLEASE put me on.

Your oil has nothing to do with it.

Does it do it all the time when stone cold and hot?

I'd change the coolant temp sensor anyway. Cheap and easy to try.

I assume you've changed your air filter. I assume you have no CEL. PCV valve is a definite to do. Are the plugs gapped correctly, did you check? Why copper and not NGK platinums it came with?

The things you mentioned, MAF and TPS make sense to check too.

Any rattling from your catalytic convertor?

At a Nissan stealership they can hook it up to a better diagnostic tool to analyze it while it's running. If the problem is consistent, I'd do this.

EGR may be not working properly too, or have a leak.

It only does it when the engine is at normal operating temp, sitting at idle in drive. It even does a few times when I take my foot off the brake but as soon as I hit the gas, the car runs fine.

From the things iv'e read on the ORG., it seemed like going with copper plugs was best because of price and slightly better performance. The plugs were pre-gapped.
I just cleaned the TB, tested the PCV, TPS, MAF, and front injectors. Everything is fine according to the Haynes Manual.

I guess i'll replace the coolant temp sensor like you said. If that doesen't work, i'm off to the dealership.

Thanks for the advice.

I've always double checked the gaps on my spark plugs before putting them on even if they were pre-gapped.

It could be your TPS, Did you ever adjust that? or Opened it for any reason?

TPS= Throttle Position Sensor.

Don't know if it will make a difference but it will only cost 12 bucks to find out. Try NGK BKR5ES-11 and remember the plugs are not always gapped correctly. While you are at the store borrow a gapper and make sure the plugs are set to .44, I belive that's the right gap.

Maybe I will pull all the plugs and check the gaps. In that case I might as well go back to using platinums instead of coppers.
