Man that is one of my worst nightmares. Sorry about your car. Looks like he did a lot of damage, and in a crowded parking lot go figure. You would think someone would have noticed. Depending on where it was there might be security footage. Hopefully they might be able to catch the SOB.

G'luck.

Man that sucks. You know that the theives were amateurs because they couldn't get your stereo out and they broke into your car during the day. Stupid idiots. This kind of stuff really pi$$es me off. They need to invent a security system that does MAJOR bodily harm to thieves like tazors, mace, castration, etc. I feel your pain.

Wow, sorry for your loss! People like that should be hung, drawn, and quartered. Not necessarily in that order.

castration

there IS though... a system ive seen in news reports in other countries that when the car senses a carjacking it releases gas (air not liquid) from the underneath-sides of the car then ignites it... fried carjacker in 10 seconds..

that would be maxima mod of hte year IMO

sry about the loss.. gl finding parts.. insurance claim maybe?

I just noticed my turn signals don't work? I checked the fuses and they are fine so I am guessing it is the relay? Anyone have any insights.. maybe they shorted some wires to blow the relay to the turn signals so the factory alarm wouldn't honk or something?

Welcome to the club, got my car STOLEN from in front of my house 3 weeks after I bought it, I guess they didnt have a screw driver to take out radio so they just ripped the plastic bars in half. They broke in through my sunroof. Crappy nissan alarm. Hope you can fix your car up back to its normal self. I feel your pain.

If I was him I wouldn't really be complaining about wood trim or not. I'd buy the damn thing and either get one of those dash kits or keep it for a while until I found one that I wanted. The thing is only 2.99 for now...if it stays that cheap he'd be getting a great quick fix. U know what I mean

Ever since my radio got stolen out of my Honda many years ago, I'm always paranoid about my car being broken into / stolen. It's always a low life thieves that can't find a job and has to steal from others. Ever since the first incident, every car I've owned after that Honda has had a Clifford alarm installed with pretty much all the bells and whistles. It may not prevent them from stealing my car, but at least I'm going to make it as hard as possible for them to do it.

One thing I thought about for keeping thievs out our cars is mounting an extra siren inside the car. So when the alarm goes off, the thief will have to lose his hearing to take my stereo.
Just a thought, though.

Sorry about the loss man...can't believe that they broke the display in spite just because they weren't smart enough to know how to steal it. Your turn signals do not work becase the hazard circuit is a part of it. Once you get your parts replace and reconnect the hazard button you will be fine.
