Bad Electrical Problems......

Ok guys. Last night I was driving home and my lights started to get dimmer, and dimmer, and dimmer; until the car finally died. I knew it was the battery so I had my father bring a spare battery to my aid. Well, the car is driving fine now, but my speedo/tach/temp cluster does not work anymore. I checked the belt, so the alternator may still be charging the system (original/factory alternator). I don't know what fuses to check for just the cluster. I have checked all the "electrical parts" fuses on the interior fuse block, and also some other fuses as well, with no luck of finding a burnt fuse. This has totally bogged me out. Does anyone have an idea of what it may be?

I would check your alternator first if the car died while it was running. Unless the old battery totally shorted out, the alternator should have been powering your car at that point....

As for the gauges, did you pull every single fuse and check it?

I think that I found the problem. It was a 10 AMP fuse labeled "METER" on the interior fuse block. So, I replaced it and all my gauges work now. I am now letting the car idle for a while to see if it cuts off again.......
