95-99 rear e-brake problem
95-99 rear e-brake problem
I read on consumerguide.com that the 4th gen maxima had a problem with the rear brakes:
Brake noise: Groaning from the rear brakes is caused by the parking brakes not fully releasing, requiring new brake cables and pads. (1995-99)
I think this might be the cause of my brakes vibrating and noise coming from the rear when I move my car after it has been sitting in one place for a long time with the e-brake on. Is there a TSB or a recommended fix for this? I am going to replace my rotors and pads during the summer and don't want the ebrake to ruin the new ones again. Will new ebrake cables allow the rear brakes to fully release or is something else required to fix this?
