How much for body work???
How much for body work???
Hi,
I have a '95 gle and I really like it. Did an intake, ypipe, clear corners etc. Here's my issue. It's a little high on mileage, and secretly i want a 5spd. Now, I could live w/the auto, and even more so if I get a vb mod. I really like the color of my max and I don't see it often (dark red-don't know what it's called) but it is a little banged up, scratched, etc. anyway it's paid off in a year so i'm trying to plan. is it worth it to get the body work done. how much does a good job usually cost? the interior's a little scrappy too because it's 9 yrs. old and tan/beige. the dork who had the car before me left a couple burn holes in the headliner and the front pillars where the tweeters are. I'd like to keep this car, but I can't keep dumping cash for mods on a future beater, y'know.
any input?

Seems like a good project car to me
Serious you really don't have too much problem. I think your color is Ruby Red (color code AL0) and since its not a tri-coat paint then depending on how much scratches you have you probably get it fixed on the cheap.
A complete paintjob will probably run you around $1500-$2500 for a decent one.
You can get the inside redone. www.leatherseats.com or keep checking the For Sale forum for cheap parts every.
