Are big brakes worth the money?

I was going to put new pads on today, got under the car and discovered i may need new calipers as well. I was previously considering the upgrade, but it is so much money! Should i just buy new stock calpiers or would now be a good time to get them?

Do they improve stopping power enough to justify spending the $$$ ???

Thanks

300ZX upgrade will fit under stock wheels with spacers, unlike any of the other larger (and more expensive) brake upgrades. It will set you back about $400.
