car making sounds..

car making sounds..

ok my car is making like whistle sound everytime im stop.. why is it doing that..is it my belt?

check for vacuume leaks

i need help. let me rectify that my car only makes this sound when i'm on park, or get stopped at the traffic light. and i know it's not my brakes cause i changed the pads for all 4 wheels and the sound is coming under the hood. can someone help me out?

is it coming from the front of the engine? (left side of the car where the belts are)

hmm, I have a similar problem except its not a whistling sound, its more of a grinding if anything, sorry to break it to ya but you might need a new tensionor/guide it might be the early stages of the o so famous timing chain problem we 95/96 maximas have.... Maybe your lucky and its something else, have it checked ASAP before it gets worse....

Im going throught the same thing with my 96. I think I have the noise pinpointed, and I have ordered the part to fix it from Courtesy Nissan.
Should be here next week..........Ill post the repair if it is indeed fixed..........

koo im going to bring it to a shop tomorrow and see what da hell is going on. i believe it's the belt maybe because it's too loose or something..maybe air going throught it.. not sure though.. i'll update as soon as i found out

good news.. i brought my car to the shop and it turned out that noise was nothing but the sound coming from one of my pulleys.. the mechanic sprayed some of that thing that makes thing go smoother, and the noise stop.. thank god~ woot!
