Removing dash to paint

I'm planning on painting the a/c and clock pieces on my center dash. Do these pieces just pop out or do I have to take apart everything from the shifter? Any help appreciated.

the clock part easily pops out. put a flat headed screw driver gentley in between the outside corners and it easily comes out.

well the black piece around the shifter just slides/pops off easily. then from there with the radio and ac, there are just a number of screws and stuff. it's pretty easy to figure out, just give it a go and you shouldn't have any problems. the only thing i've learned about taking apart anything that involves plastic, snaps, screws, and whatever is you have to use enough force to move stuff, but not so much where you're going to snap stuff. just take your time and look in haynes or chiltons. g'luck
