Who here has painted their chrome grille? Do you have any pics? I want to attempt doing this, but I am afraid that the paint will chip off of the chrome in the end.

we painted Iilacs grill body color at a shop. no chips

Hmm.. Would you suggest painting your own grill? I read that if you sand it down (from course to fine grit), primer it, apply a few coats of the actual color and then apply a clear it should come out fine. However, all of this sounds a little too easy by just reading it.

I had mine done at my friend's shop. No chipping at all and it looks good. Unless you have experience painting, it would probably be worth it to pay to get it done.

i plan on painting mine if i get a chance within the next week or two. im just gunna scuff it down and use some adhesive promoter and such and give it a shotwe'll see what happens
