97 cali spec w/ y-pipe

hey all,

don't mean to be a pita with a thread that's been done a million times, but I searched and found conflicting opinions..

but anyhoo.. i have a 97 se, the vin tag says it's cali spec, do I need to get the budget cali spec pipe, or the budget fed spec pipe.. if anybody has done this install and can help me out, i'm confused as to whether or not there was a difference between cali and fed spec before 99.. and since the pipes look dramatically different I don't feel like ordering the wrong one and having to deal with returning it and whatnot.. thanks for the help

Only the 99 Cali spec gets a special pipe.

Open your hood and look in front by the radiator. You should only see 2 plugs there for the 2 o2 sensors in your y pipe. The 99 Cali Spec model has 4 plugs there meaning it has 4 o2 sensors in the Y pipe.
