Progress... Maxspeed...... H&R...... Sprint...... Ground Control?

I want my car as low as possible w/ an acceptable ride.I like progress b/c the drop is in between that of H&R and Sprint, i hear good things about H&R but there is less of a drop. I hear mixed reviews about Sprint due to bad ride or causing the axels to go out but they drop the car a lot. And i dont really hear or read too much about Progress but the info on them looks like a good choice. I got a 99SE w/ 18" rims and 245/40 tires currently w/ more ground clearance than a pick up ......... Please Help!

Take a look at my sig for the ride for the height of the Progress drop. If I remember right from measuring its like 26 3/4 inches from ground to the TOP of the fender well's in front and back, and thats with prolly 70lbs of stereo in the back too.

I meant to say look at my homepage for the pics. sorry.

i have H&R's and i am very happy with the ride and the drop. Progress might be your best bet though since you want it as low as possible without sacrificing ride. i haven't heard many bad comments on progress, so that looks like the winner.

Yes the sprint is probably the best looking, but it will definately have a hard ride, same for the ground controls, most coilovers are harsh.

H&Rs are decently soft, Eibachs are basically stiff H&Rs, Sprints are basically lower Eibachs, never felt Progress or Maxspeed. If you want to see the drop of H&R/Eibach (they are both basically the same) on 18s check out my homepage.

Anything that drops as low as a sprint will have the same axel problem that the sprint has. And anything that drops really low will have to be harsh because there's only about 1/2 inch left of shock travel left over, so either your spring's stiffness keeps you from bottoming out, or the bumpstop does. And the bumpstops doesn't feel very good.

I've had Ground Control Coilovers and Sprints, and now I'm riding on H&R springs. H&Rs are definately the best I've had so far as far as ride quality. The Sprints gave a really nice drop, but they didn't ride as nice as the H&Rs do.

H&R gives about a 1.5" drop. If you don't mind sacrificing some ride quality, you can get Sprints which are a 2.0" drop. H&Rs will run you about $205 from Tirerack.com and Sprints are $129 from Southwestautoworks.com. I personally believe that you get what you pay for after experiencing both springs. I like the H&Rs much more!

WHAT ABOUT MAXSPEED!! no one ever has a comment on them, but those that have commented on them say they have a good drop and good ride quality, and not to mention they are only $100.

if they offer the best ride/drop combo, and are cheapest why dont many people have them?? i would like to get a pair, but i want to hear more testimonials. b&g and eibach are too expensive and i wont be able to handle my car if i get the ride quality of sprints. it seems maxspeeds are the medium, but why dont more people purchase them??
