I would find it for you but the damn search is not working for me right now.... I would give you the url to bigsadlers page but he has no pictures of his engine bay there...

Use the SEARCH if you can...

You got it! I cover my pop charger with a plastic bag. I use a fine mist spray pattern to rinse off. I don't cover my battery since one of the terminals is covered already with a plastic cover.

Oh yeah, Simple Green is NOT corrosive.

Mine's nothing fancy but it might give you some ideas esp. if you're on a budget the way I am.

(below) I'm still polishing my upper plenum and spark plug cover. Yes, Simple Green does work well.

So this "simple green", you just spray it on then hose it off? Where do ya get, any regular auto parts store? Any special thing you got to cover , besides the intake?

I bought my Simple Green at a local auto parts store. This is what the bottle looks like:

Spray on, give it a minute to work its charm, then hose off. If there's lots of gritty crap, you might want to do some wiping with heavy duty paper towels that don't fall apart when wet. All I did was just bag up my intake. The car started fine the next morning.

Anyone that is going to clean their engine bay and only going to cover their intake and battery better beware cause your car may have problems in the future or may not even start the next day. Instead of me explaining it, read this article, it explains everything.

I'd have to say that turbo97se has the nicest engine bay... Turbo, MEVI with cover... It doesn't even look like a Maxima engine to me anymore .

When cleaning the engine bay, other than the intake, do you have to worry about any electricaly wires or fuses that may control fuel injection and headlights and all that good stuff? I see alot of wires in the engine bay. I dont want to short anything out or just mess things up at all. Let me know guys! Thanks alot!!!
