Rattles From 4th Gens..

What parts of the car rattle the most with our 4th Generation Maxes? With subs in the trunk, what parts of the car need to be dynamatted? Also, my plastic pillars squeak when I'm going over bumps, etc. Please post what I should dynamat in the car so I don't get rattles from my subs.
Thanks

my rear deck and trunk rattle like crazy when the bass hits, so try and get that taken care off, there will also be other various rattles that will come up with time(ie: dash, doors...)

To fix the problem with the rear deck, remove the rear seat so you can get to the deck panel and remove it. the rattling is most likely comming from your speakers. For an easy fix remove the speakers and get some fabric, I used an old pair of sweat pants (I know its ghetto but it works). Cut the fabric into squares that are bigger than your speakers I'd say 9x9 then cut an x into the middle so you can put the magnet into the fabric, but you don't want to cut it so big that the whole speaker will fit through the cut. Lay the fabric down over the holes where the speakers go and put the speakers back in their place. Your rattling should stop, at least in the back.

Thanks for the tip.
As for rattles, I have none until the bass line drops.

Had my windsheild replaced, now it makes a lot of noise. More of a squeak than a rattle.

This may seem a little weird, but I stuck pieces of rags in the plastice A pillars and all of the squeaking from the pillars went away. You just have to use a panel removal tool or something like it. Be sure not to push too hard or a piece of rag might show from the front, this can be fixed by taking it out and putting it back in again though. I tried this as a temporary remedy, until I had time to put Dynamat in, but I am happy with it and will leave the rags in. As far as the trunk, you need to Dynamat the whole trunk, floor and sides (behind panels), and the rear deck. I also put Dynamat on the trunk lid, and as mentioned before, behind the licence plate. This helped out alot when I turned up the volume. It is nice to be able to listen to your system playing clean music and not having the sound ruined by rattles.

Sometimes wire bundles rattle around behind dash. All you can do it take dash apart, tie or tape wires and bundles up tight and/or wrap them with 1/4" foam. Don't use that thin white packing foam though: It squeeks.

A friend of mine went nuts because of a few impossible-to-find rattles behind his dash, so he sprayed that expanding foam in several spots. Hey, it worked! Hope he never has to get to any wires under the dash though. But he likely won't. He'll probably crash the thing first.

My driver side speaker rattles. I put pressure on it, and it stops. Also, there is this annoying rattle coming from the rear of the car when I'm driving, not just when my volume is up Had to put these in! I love the new smilies!

Try spraying some sort of lubricant on the bolts under the seat. Mine was doing this so I sprayed WD-40 on the bolts and it stopped making the noise.

I have rags behind a-pillars ,sprayed some WD-40 into HVAC under the windshield and got 25 cents coin stuffed between the door and the uphostlery

but i can get rid off rattle coming of the EVAP canister under the rear side of the car.....

Sprint springs made my car rattle like crazy !!!!
