ummmmmm I'm not a know it all, but if you mean, or mabye I'm just using a different term, a timing chain.

Then I believe they started using it in the fourth gens, in 95.

I believe they started in the 93 SE. This was also used in the 94 SE.

Of course all the 95's and up use a chain .

Yes, I meant Timing Chain...

Tim, I take it the 93-94 GXE's still used belts?

as for 3rd gens
GXE 89-94 and SE 89-91 used VG30E engine (160hp) with timing belt
SE 92-94 used VE30DE (190hp) with timing chain
