What should I expect @ 100K

Since I'm getting my brother's '98 SE once again, I know there will be at least 100K on the odo, but unlike how I took care of it, he's negligent on other maintenance issues, so would it be worth it to do the 90K service and an inspection despite how much it will cost me, and what else would I expect to replace at 100K?

I think the dealer services are rip-offs. They do about 50 bucks worth of actual work and charge 250 just to inspect.

Go ahead and do the full 60k service:
Plugs
Belts
Fuel & Air filters
Flush the coolant
Flush the trans
Change the oil
Rotate, balance & align the wheels

Do all of this if you have no idea what he has done before. Use Castrol GTX dino oil if you dont want to spring for synthetic.

At 50k, i changed the spark plugs, tranny oil, motor oil, fuel filter and pcv valve. Combined, boy it made a difference ... just like new.

just dont let anyone talk you into changing your timing belt

At 100,000 miles, the car is just getting broken in...... As long as the maintenence is kept up on it, you will have a long realtionship with your Maxima....

Mine ran about 400 from the dealer..... oil change, transmission flush and fill with new filter, coolant flush and fill, lubricate all locks and hinges, tune up with NGK Platinums, fuel injector service..... It was expensive, but worth it though..... I could have done alot of the work myself, but I had just bought the car, and I didnt know what maintenence hed been done to it..... So, I had the dealer do it.....

Yeah, dealers want I think at least $450 for the 60K service, I'm still debating on whether or not to have the dealer do the 60K or have my dad's mechanic do it, what do u guys recommend?

Reaching 98K with my car, personal experience says check the struts for wear if they weren't replaced already. Muffler might have some rot holes beginning too though my car has holes but still hasn't increased in noise level in the 20K miles since I first noticed the spots forming. Might need an oxygen sensor or two if your SES light's on. Brake pads could always stand to be checked if you don't know the last time they were redone. Probably need a thorough cleaning too.
