efi question

i'm new here and not as experienced mechanically as alot of you guys seem to be so have a little patience if some of my posts include a dumb question or two. I own a '96 SE with 74K mi. Stealer said it's time for an EFI service. I've heard that these are a big ripoff. Maybe this is something I can do myself for about 1/5 the price. Let me know what you think.

Pour a bottle of Techron into your gas tank next time you fill up at the gas station.... Thats exactly what the dealership does alot of times.... You might also look into cleaning your Throttle Body as well..... Here are the instructions........

Thanks for the link sandman. You're absolutely right, throttle body cleaning is part of the service. I'll have a go at it this week.
thanks again.

You are welcome Maxx....... Cleaning the throttle body isnt as difficult as alot of people think it is.... When you go to the auto parts store, just get a bottle of Techron, and a can of throttle body cleaner..... Make sure that you do not get carburetor cleaner.....
