temp gauge moving

Hey all,
My temp gauge in my 97 Maxima keeps moving when I accelerate. It "flicks" downward as I accelerate. The harder I accelerate the more it moves. Does this sound like a bad sensor, electrical problem, or water pump? Any ideas?

The sensor can't react that quickly to make the gauge "flick". Check the connection on the sensor and make sure it's not corroded. If so, clean it up and see if the gauge stabalizes.
