Key Value vs. Original clutch questions....
I've got about 90k on the original clutch in my 98SE. I think there might be a hint of slippage now so I'm looking into replacing it.
I'd prefer to get what I had. I don't have any power mods and the OEM one suited me just fine. Nissan parts sells their "Key Value" one which I heard here sucks. Is there a different OEM replacement available more in line with what came from the factory?
I'll also have somebody else do it. I've done about 5 clutches in my life and they're always a PITA. What have people paid for labor in the New England area for the clutch install?
Thanks

you need to have them order the true oem factory clutch from them. I didnt know that before and bought the key value then returned it for the real deal. we compared the key value to the OEM and it was no comparison which was better built.

I think I got a Key Value clutch before I knew there is a difference. I think it was about $150 for the kit. How much more is the true OEM clutch? And yes, the Key Value could be a lot better. I've had a lot more chatter than I should and the engagements are a lot less smooth than the original.
