I think the S would win maybe by a bit, just simple mods on an Rsx S helps so much!

yea but they have no torque, especially in the lower rpms. also, mods on a maxima help just as much if not more. i bet if you got a downpipe for an RSX you wouldn't see the same gain that you see on a maxima with a y-pipe

The RSX-S is faster on paper, but the extreme high-end biased power means that most drivers won't be able to get the full potential out of the car. In a 1/4 mile race, the Maxima 5spd has the edge. Most RSX-S guys don't get better than a 15.5, and a 5spd Max can beat that.

my friend is not that great of a driver, but he's gotten 15.0 at the track and all he has is CAI.

You can do it!!! Run his Focking car off the road!!! I have taken a few RSX's, and haven't lost to one yet. Good luck.

What does that mean? If you race, don't you take it to redline anyways? I just want to know, not to start ****

A stock RSX-s isn't all that up top like everyone says, I used to walk the hell out of my friends once I hit 3rd and he had intake and cat back, then he got a header............OMG it opened that car up, now when he hits VTEC in 3rd he just leaves me almost like a F-body would.

Stock to stock the RSX will win. Trust me I know from personal experiance. I use to track race a lot with my max wheh it was almost bonse stock aside from a Drop in filter. And I have a consistent .520-.550 reaction time. And there are times out on the streets when I raced bone stock RSXs and gotten beat. now if you have yer max modded a little, with maybe Y pipe exhaust or chip and he is stock then you may win. But if he gots his upgrades then it will be a driver race then. Good luck though.

We'll the starter of this thread has an auto so unless the RSX-S driver really sucks he's dead.

And no a car that falls on its face above 5500rpm is not made for top end. The RSX will eat you alive up there.

One of my friends hit 14.4 with a I/H/E so a it would be a very close race depending on mods but stock for stock i still say very close but the max may have the edge.....

It really depends on how the race starts, is it a stop or a roll, and how fast????
