Just got my car back from the shop.. they did a pretty good job on it.

I only got the bumper so far cause im undecided on the rest.

The Gen 2's are being painted tommorrow with paintscratch to the skyline mod, the only thing im worried about is they gave me grey primer which may show if u actually look into the light, but not a big thing.

Thanks to Will for helping pick out the wing, well his picture influenced me , overall I am happy with it, cant wait to paint the lights to see how they are going to come out. The process im gonna use is the one recommended

1. 400 wetsand
2. 2 coat primer
3. 400 wetsand again to smooth it out
4. 4-6 coat of finish
5. 2 coat of clearcoat with rubbing compound to smooth it out.

I like the rear Skyline bumper. I think your pic convinced me to get it. I like the Skyline sides too, but not too fond of the Skyline front. I think I might go with Skyline sides and rear. I got to see how the new M bumper from Redlinemax looks on a Maxima before I decided on the front.

I read the post...except the only thing that looks even decent by itself is a front lip. Putting a rear on first is a$$ backwards and quite ugly looking

If you really loved your max like the sig said you wouldn't put those ugly *** rims on it. Also why did you get the silver altezzas, your car is black, if you haven't noticed, putting the silver ones on makes it look iffy. Gunmetal ones wouldn't look like **** and you wouldn't have to spend extra cash or time changing them...

Trust me, my auto would smoke you and your Altezza'd 5-speed...

I won't even begin to compare looks...it's really not worth it at all

 

 

well I looked at the pictures to decide for myself...the Max, being Black blends in fine to have just the back...

I can say from experience the IonicDynamic sides will go well with that Skyline rear and get the urethane Stillen font spoiler...just me offering some advice...

otherwise the car is a bit different from many due to how narrow the wing is...does it particularly restrict vision out the rear view?

 

The good thing about modded cars is that each and everyone is different and unique, just like people. If you dont like the way somebody looks, you don't go up to them and say "You're ugly" just for the hell of it. Respect each others different tastes because what looks bad to you may look good to them. This rantin' on ilovemymax was totally unprovoked. I know im sort of new on the board, but I know that you should not bash another .org member for their particular style. Besides, arguing over the internet is like the Special Olympics...Even if you win, you're still retarded.

 

Maybe its really fast and thats the only part you will see. The rear looks nice by the way.

Its everyone's style ofcourse but there is always a right way to do it. Skyline kit is ugly doesnt matter what you do to it :-) Car is not lowered? what kind of car ENTHUSIAST is the person then? Doesnt matter what you do, there are always some right rules to follow :-)

 

William G's '97 gxe is not lowered and he's the biggest car enthusiast our of all the 4th Gens...

Anyway, I like Ant's posts, generally, but how pointless is it to start picking on another member just because of his car? The looks of his car have no effect on you, so just leave him alone. Also.... just because someone has an auto, that doesn't mean they can't drive stick better than you. Personally, I had to get an auto so that my other family members/friends could drive my car if they needed to in a bind. It's just practical. Likewise, lots of people choose not to lower their cars because of poor road conditions and the fact that it's a much bigger/more involved job than doing other, exterior mods.

Sorry, I just get tired of everyone always picking fights over the same things:
