Transmission problem, Help

I have a 99 SE with around 18000 miles on it and its an auto.
When I start from 0, the transmission shifts fine, no problems
but when I accelerate from anything over 0, usually happens when
I accelerate quickly, it shifts into 2nd gear really late.
From a standstill, it usually shifts into second around 25 mph approximately, but when im going 10 mph and then accelerate hard, it shifts into second at around 40mph, maybe stightly higher.
Then when it find second, the car starts accelerating really fast.
I hope i dont need a new transmission, but its still under powertrain warranty for less than a year, so the transmission is still covered.
Please help me with any thoughts on whats wrong, what i can do, and if i should just bring it into the dealer

no it sounds like you should take it to the dealer and use the warranty to fix the problem. Be thankful you at least found it while you're covered.
